"Six Thinking Hats® will provide your team with skills and tools they can apply immediately after attending the course. You and your team members will learn how to separate thinking into six distinct categories, each identified by its own colored metaphorical "thinking hat." By mentally wearing and switching "hats," you can easily focus or redirect thoughts, conversations, or meetings.

The Six Thinking Hats® will teach your team to think clearly, lead shorter, more productive meetings, and to look at decisions and problems systematically. As a result, participants will enhance their communication skills, generate more creative ideas, reduce conflict, and improve team results.

When used as a meeting-facilitation tool, the Six Thinking Hats® ensures that individuals will be focused and to the point. It also has the ability to neutralize employee rank in a meeting where several levels of employees may be involved. Most importantly, it requires individuals to look at all sides of an issue.

Unlike many management methods which depend on exhortation, inspiration or changes in behavior, the Six Hats system is simple, concrete and tangible. It is easy to use, and as it is used there follows, directly, a powerful change in thinking behavior.
