Imagine you are a newstudentin a classroom with some 30 other students. On Day-1 perhapsyoucan remr one or two new faces and names. On Day-2 perhaps youwillhave forgotten them again. But when the teacher calls the rollsyouwill remr the names again, and you will know some more people.Idont think you will remr everybody in your classroom in aweek,and you will not try to memorize everybody. But as the timegoesby, without realizing you will know everyone. How can thishappen?The answer is because you meet them regularly, the teacheralsocalls their names regularly. Similarly, if we encounterEnglishwords (vocabulary) regularly by reading, listening, andevenspeaking them out, then without realizing we will have putthosenew words into our active vocabulary. Make a note book ofyourvocabulary. Whenever you run into new words, consult withyourdictionary and write down on your notebook the definitions plusthesentence that word used.
